I’ve always loved collecting cute stationery and unique letter sets, especially the kinds you rarely find in stores in the U.S. Many of my favorites were collected during trips back to Asia, particularly when visiting family in Taiwan.
But I realized there was a problem: I couldn’t easily share the joy and magic of my collection with online friends across the world. How could I translate the tactile, interactive charm of these stationery sets into a digital space?
This interactive online zine explores that question. It reimagines the physical experience of stationery sets by allowing you to type on the letter papers, place it into envelopes, and even play dress-up with one of my favorite sets. In this particular set, the letter becomes a paper doll, and the envelope acts as a dress you place over it. The result is a playful and heartfelt way to send messages that digitally recreates the tactile delight of a paper doll letter set you can share with loved ones across the globe. And this set is just one of many featured in this zine from my collection.
