For my senior art show, I created an interactive installation that simulates a fake shower, allowing guests to engage with my "shower thoughts" in a playful, immersive way. The piece features a custom particle system (developed with help from a tutorial by Supermarket Sallad on YouTube) which I modified extensively using TouchDesigner and Python to resemble that of a stream of shower. The particles respond to both music and movement: the water shifts color to the beat of the music, and its flow reacts to hand gestures. Raising your right hand causes the shower stream to expand or contract, while lifting your left hand triggers a water splash effect from below the shower curtains. Watch the exhibition walkthrough and read the artist statement below for more insight into the project.
